Value Equities Strategy
We capitalise on the large potential offered by long-term investment in undervalued companies.

"Value" is the name we give to a share trading at a price which is low compared with the business or intrinsic value of the company.

Two values are attached to all listed companies - Sparinvest only invests at the lowest.

The theory of value investing was invented by Benjamin Graham as early as 1934.

Value Bonds Strategy
Sparinvest launched its innovative High Yield Value Bonds at the end of 2005 – the first product of its kind on the market.

The fund is managed according to a unique strategy that we developed in recent years which is to invest in corporate bonds issued by companies that we evaluate as value companies. Research confirms that by selecting bonds from companies belonging to the value segment, the return over time will be considerably higher than the average return on high yield bonds.

For many years, Sparinvest has managed both fixed-income funds and value funds and has here mixed the expertise of the two investment teams.

The theory is that the investor will reduce risk because each asset class has a different correlation to the others; when equities rise, for example, bonds often fall. At a time when the stock market begins to fall, bonds may begin generating above average returns, etc.
